Clearing a Clogged Bathtub Drain

Simple Unclogging
If your tub is older, it probably uses a detachable plastic stop as a plug. This drain can be easily cleared using the same methods used to clear a sink. Check out Cleaning and Clearing Drains for tips.

The Assmebly Line
If you have a newer bathtub, it probably has a pop-up or plunger drain. If your drain is taking forever to clear, it probably has a blocked drain assembly. Just clean the assembly - remove all that gross hair - and your tub should be as good as new.
