The easiest way to fix a clog is to stop one from occuring in the first place. Every week, use this environmentally-friendly mixture to keep your sink and bathtub drains clear:
1 cup salt
1 cup baking soda
¼ cup cream of tartar
This mix should make enough for four household drains. You can easily adapt the mixture for larger or smaller numbers though. Pour equal amounts into your drains and then follow it with two cups of boiling water.
