These faucets are inexpensive and easy to fix. Most problems with disc faucets are worn out rubber seals. These are simple to replace though, and don't require many tools.
| 1. |
Turn off the water supply to your sink. The shut-off valve should be under the sink. |
| 2. |
Pull the handle up as far as it will go. |
| 3. |
Using an allen wrench, loosen the tiny screw underneath the handle. Don't take the screw out - just loosen it enough to allow you to take off the handle and cap. |
| 4. |
Two screws should be securing the faucet cartridge. Loosen these screws and remove the whole cartridge. |
| 5. |
Take out the inlet seals, which are the two small seals. Then, take out the outlet seal, which is the large seal. Put in new seals of the same type. |
| 6. |
Scrape out any dirt or deposits from the holes in the valve seat. |
| 7. |
Put the cartridge back in, with the seals lining up with the holes. |
| 8. |
Put the faucet back together. |
