Fixing a Sticky Door

Unsticking The Door
A door that sticks is usually poorly aligned or sagging, has suffered too many coats of paint, or has fallen victim to a house that has settled and cramped the door within the frame. Even in warm or humid weather when a door may swell, it should always open and close freely. If the door never worked properly, it may simply be a hair too big for the frame and require planning along one or two sides. If, however, the door once worked fine and now has problems, you should first try these less severe repairs.
