Making Repairs to Paneled Walls

Inevitably wood and wood veneer paneling will attract the usual assortment of nicks, scrapes and pockmarks. Unfortunately, walls don't heal themselves and they need your help. Sometimes the dings are small enough that you can do some quick touch-ups to make them less noticeable. Our Paneling Tool Guide can help you get organized before you start.

Occasionally though, the situation is more grave, so when it gets past the touch-up stage, you may need to gut it out and replace the damaged sections. Check out our articles on Wood Veneer Paneling and Solid Wood Paneling, which will give you a good idea of how to get the job done. Just make sure those new panels match!
