Pump Curve
Your pump's curve is a measurement of its flow capacity. Also called a pump performance curve, this measurement is an equation, generally shown in graph form.
A lot of people think that the only thing that matters when you are buying pump is the amount of horsepower it has. In fact, several other factors also contribute to the pump curve and to the overall functioning of the pump.
When you are buying a pump, be sure to ask to see the pump curve to make sure it is right for your needs.
