Question: What would cause a paintable caulk (not 100% silicone) to not completely dry underneath when applied around a bathtub? We waited 24 hours before showering in the tub, but, days later, the caulk let loose and the underside of the caulk bead was still wet.

Answer: Make sure that any silicone if applied previously has been thoroughly removed along with any pre-existing caulk. As I have learned many times preparation is always the key.
