Q&A | Pools : Black Algae

Title of Question: Black Algae

Name:Jwllmsjnb  City: Columbia, TN
Question: What is a good product for killing black algae. I have a vinyl liner, but the bottom of my pool is very pitted and hard to scrub. All the products that I have used have not completely killed the algae because it is still resting in these pitted areas. Everything I've read says not to get back into the pool until the problem is solved. But I can't scrub the pitted areas unless I am in the pool. My pool water is completely balanced. What is the danger of getting in the pool?
