| Question: I want to put carpeting by the inside of our back door. Can I just buy a remnant and staple it down? Just a functional thing, don't need to be decorative. |
Post Your Answer To The Question Above:
| Answer: One thing to consider is moisture. Will the carpeting go right up to the back door, because in that case you will be tracking rain and snow into the space. You might be better off doing vinyl squares, which are easier to clean, and a throw rug on top during good weather. If you really want to add carpeting, a remnant is a good idea. Also add some padding underneath and screw in the carpeting instead of stapling it. It will be more secure. Good luck! |
