Question: Currently my backyard is fenced in with a chain link fence. However, when it was built it was buil around the deck so that the deck is not enclosed as part of the backyard. I now want to make some adjustments. My question is, to enclose the deck I need to run some fencing between the edge of my house and the end of my deck with a gate in the middle. My options are to run it over the edge of the carport (concrete) or the edge of the deck (wood). It is probably about 8' across but the problem is that I'm going to need a post on either end of the gate. So how do I install the posts so that they are secure?
