Question: Can you use a gas grill under a patio with a covered roof, without a cooking hood ventilator?

Answer: It is best to have a gas grill several feet away from a house and in an open area. You might be o.k. with a covered roof that, I'm assuming, is then open on the sides. It depends on how much air circulation you have. This assumes that it is a basic gas grill and not one of the commercial ones with the high BTUs that require more serious ventilation. You might want to check with the manufacturer or the home improvement store where you bought it just to make sure.
