| Question: When I trun the heat on, there is no heat coming |
Post Your Answer To The Question Above:
| Answer: This is not the time to be without heat in Chicago – I know. One way to figure this out is to start in the basement where the furnace or boiler is. There should be an electrical switch that runs part of it. Make sure that is turned on and that any fuse or circuit breaker covering that switch has not been tripped. When you turn the heat on is there any noise coming from the heater/boiler? If you have a boiler with radiators, make sure the valves on the radiators are open. If it's a forced air furnace, check to see if the pilot light (if applicable) is lit. You also can call the manufacturer and see if they have any thoughts. Otherwise, you may have to call a heating and cooling contractor for help. |
