How much ceiling insulation you're going to need depends on how far your home theater is from other parts of the house. If it is very close to a bedroom, for example, you might want more insulation. You can get black ceiling tiles that provide sound insulation which are specifically designed for home theaters. The black color gives the room more of a theater feel than a regular white ceiling because it does not reflect light from the screen. If you need further insulation, you can buy sheets of sound blocking material which can be put in the walls and the ceiling. It is sold in rolls of various sizes. |
