Q&A | Plumbing : Knock in Pipes

Title of Question: Knock in Pipes

Name:Gordon Weir  City: Madison
Question: We have 2 lavatories in the upstairs bathroom that when we run hot water there, the pipes knock. It doesn't do it but in those 2 lavatories and with hot water only. This has been going on since we had the house built (11 years ago), but we never got the builder back out. It really never bothered us. We have noticed that the knocking is louder downstairs than up. We are about to sell our house and need advice.
