Question: How do you prepare laminent for paint to adhere to it without peeling once the paint has dried?

Answer: Laminates can be tricky because they do peel off and there typically is not a good quality wood underneath to put the paint on. But, this is a doable home improvement project if you have a little patience. Start by sanding the surface with a medium grade paper so you break through the smooth laminate covering. Otherwise the paint (and primer) won't adhere. Then use a good primer to prepare the surface. Finish with regular paint or try spray paint (depending on where the project is and whether overspray is an issue). Good luck!
