Post Your Answer To The Question Above:
| Answer: I've talked with heating contractors who say it's better to leave the system on, but adjust the thermostat to help lower your energy bills. The problem with turning it all the way off is that in the event the temperature dips way down in the winter, your pipes could freeze and it would take the system a longer time to get back up to a normal temperature once you turn it back on again. Installing a programmable thermostat is another great option, as it allows you to preset times when the temperature goes up or down based on your needs. |
