| Question: I am looking for some ideas to cost effectively refinish a severely damaged wood floor. The floor has pet stains, odor, heavy wear in traffic areas. What about paint and poly finish? |

| Answer: I think you'd be better off refinishing the floor and going with a dark stain that will, hopefully, cover most of the stains. I think the paint would be a remodeling nightmare and you would have to keep redoing it. There are many stains that give you a walnut type of color that could do the trick. Then get some nice area rugs and you're done. |
| Answer: I have a perfectly good wood floor that needs about 7 boards replaced. It was installed in 1929. Any ideas of where I can get replacement boards? |
