Q&A | Pools : Skimmer - Opening a pool

Title of Question: Skimmer - Opening a pool

Name:Bob  City: Pewee Valley
Question: The bottom of the skimmer (in ground pool) has a flap, and two other removable plugs or caps. One is a rubber cone and the other is a cap similar to my jet port caps on the sides of the pool. Which caps, plugs or flaps do I remove? Thanks

Answer: Without knowing which skimmer you are using, it is hard to tell. I would call a pool contractor – you probably could get an answer over the phone – and describe the equipment you have and the pool layout. Here's a link to a page that lists a bunch of pool skimmers. You should be able to find your model and go from there. Good luck! http://www.poolcenter.-com/parts_skimmer_poolstor.ht-m-
