| Question: my 3 year old sony home theater receiver suddenly become silent and "protect" was displayed on the machine. I turned it off and turned it on after 1 day, still the same. I checked the on line manual, it said to check the wire. but which wire? it has power (the 'protect mode' still blinking). anybody has any idea ? Thanks. |

| Answer: Have you tried calling the manufacturer because this sounds like some kind of glitch in the machinery? If so, many people may have experienced it and reported it to Sony. Another option is to call the place where you bought it to see if they've encountered this problem. I wish I had more answers for you, but it seems like a quirky home improvement type problem. |
