Answer: I have had success with Nature's Miracle, but have not tried it on old stains. It is sold in pet stores and works well on carpet and stone and wood where the stains are fairly new. You put it on a rag and leave it there for 24 hours to soak in. It sometimes takes a few applications, but it works and it gets rid of the smell the pets can smell that can make them mark the spot again. (You may not have this problem, but just in case). It's worth a try. Otherwise, you may have to resand the floor to get rid of it. I know this just adds to the home improvement list, but it should do the trick.
