Answer: Hi Rachel, Does the sound work on your television on your television when it is not connected to the satellite TV? If not, it might be a problem with your television rather than the Direct TV. If the sound does work, next, check your connections between the television and the receiver. Are the cables set up correctly, and are any of the connectors loose or bent? If you've got a bent connector, you might want to try new cables. Is the picture coming through well? If so, I'm betting that the problem lies in the connection between the receiver and the television rather than with the satellite. I hope this helps!
