Answer: Hi Fran! Many people choose above-ground pools rather than in-ground ones. There are several advantages to above-ground pools. They tend to be cheaper than in-ground pools, and they are much less permanent. If you decide that you no longer want a pool, it is much easier to remove an in-ground one. Above-ground pools can fit into small spaces, so they're a good choice for littler backyards. You mention fiberglass in the subject of your post. I'm not sure if you will be able to find a fiberglass above ground pool. Most above-ground pools I know are made of aluminum, steel, or resin. Of these materials, resin is going to look the most like fiberglass. One of the biggest reasons some people do not like above-ground pools is aesthetic. They feel that above-ground pools do not look as nice as in-ground pools. Freshly assembled, they might not, but many people choose to build decks around their pools, which, with the addition of carefully chosen landscaping, can make above-ground pools attractive additions to yards. I hope you find a pool that works for you!
