Answer: Vinegar is great for disinfecting and does kill mold. It is not as strong as bleach, but, of course, is not going to wear the finish off your faucets or splash onto your clothes and ruin them. It is a great, natural way to clean the house. All it takes is 5 percent vinegar solution, which is the common strength sold at a grocery or home improvement store. Some people also use it to sanitize wooden cutting boards. Just spray it on at night and let is soak in. The smell will go away within a few hours.
