Question: I have a small ranch 44ft by 24ft,3ft of soffit on sides and 18inch on ends. I will be removing old masonite and installing new construction windows with integrated J channel and wrapping the house with tyvek. The bid for siding ,soffit, facia,5inch seamless gutter with 3x4 downspouts and aluminum wrap of trim on 2 garage doors to my pre wrapped (tyvek) house is $5300. This house is in Missouri. Is this bid high or is it a good price? It seems a little high to me considering the contractor doesn't have to buy or take the time to install the tyvek. what do you think? thanks

Answer: tyvek is easy to staple on you are not saving him much time I my self hate vinyl siding but here it is going for around 220 a sq to 295 a sq I would rather install the box in comes in then the Vinyl siding ,if you like no matince try calling a seamless metal siding with baked on vinyl. Make sure to get more then one bid .
