Question: how to remove dog saliva spots on hardwood floor...I have tried many cleaners ...none work...actually it feels like glue when I scrape it off with my finger nail...an oven cleaner pad (green side) works but I can't do the WHOLE floor with a green pad...also tried Isopropyl Alcohol which works great but don't know what the long term damage to the floor might be...any suggestions??/ HELP!

Answer: shirley, did you get an answer to your question about removing dog saliva from your hardwood floors? I too have the same problem, on the lower part of my kitchen cabinets with no solution. I tried both the oven cleaner pad and alcohol but they started taking the finish off my cabinets. Any ideas?

Answer: A credit card or a plastic paper clip has worked for gummy Husky saliva spots on laminated wood floors for me. I used warm water with a good amount of vinegar and then got down close on the floor with a Windex-type spray cleaner, rigid plastic whatever, and paper towel.

Answer: Not an answer, but I too have a problem with dog saliva and it's on my car windows. I have tried Windex, Lysol cleaner (both straight, not diluted) and the other day Goo Gone. None of it works. Since I'm not worried about the finish coming off my glass windows although maybe I should be, I'll try the alcohol. There has to be a scientific use for dog spit because it's so resistant to so many chemicals.
