| Question: In our kitchen we have a light switch (the rocker type) and an outlet side by side with a double wall plate covering them. We would like to add another single outlet to this. What would be the difficulty in doing this? I cannot find any info in do it yourself books. Is this fairly simple or would it be a complicated project, tearing up walls, etc.? We don't want to tear up any drywall except where the new outlet box will go. Is this easy enough for the do it yourselfer? Or is an electrician required? If we need an electrician how much would this cost, approximately? |
