Q&A | Hot Tubs : heat exchanger damage

Title of Question: heat exchanger damage

Name:jeanne  City: smithtown
Question: we purchased a jandy lite2 pool and spa heater model LJ propane, the heat exchanger has gone bad supposedly to water chemistry, the panel has gone out mutiple times, it was a lemon from the beginning. i need a propane or oil heater for a 7 foot round 4 ft deep outdoor hot tub that will work without constant problems. we already tried an electric heater which worked well, but cost about $10 a day to run. the tub is outdoor and is used all year round. please help with ideas or brands, not jandy!!!!
