| Answer: Florida requires that you be certified to do construction work. This allows you to work anywhere in the state. You also can get a registered contractor's license in your local town, but it may not be acceptable in all towns. Also, some counties require that you be certified instead – I think that will give you more flexibility in finding jobs all over.
