Answer: Hi Jerry! The water stains on your marble are not caused by the water itself, but by mineral deposits that the water has left behind. To remove the stains, try using water and a mild detergent, and rubbing the area gently with a soft cloth. When you are done, rinse the area thoroughly with water and dry it. In the future, whenever you get the marble wet, make sure that you dry it rather than letting the water sit on it. This will prevent the stain from returning. If you've got a big area to dry, running a squeegee over the marble works great. What products have you tried using when you washed the marble? Marble is very, very delicate, and it is etched easily by anything acidic. Even an orange juice spill will etch marble if it is left for several hours. If you used an acidic cleaning product, there is a chance that the marble is etched, and no amount of cleaning will fix it. In that case, you will need to find a marble restorer who can even out the area that has been damaged.
