Answer: I am a big painter around our house and I would not recommend the brands from a home improvement center unless you are considering this a quick fix and plan to sell the house soon or will soon remodel the space and paint again. When it comes to paint, I think you get what you pay for. You're better off buying a better quality paint and putting on one coat. With lower priced paints, they are harder to work with and not as forgiving when trying to correct coverage mistakes. You'll end up putting on two coats to make it look o.k. Also, don't skimp on the prep work and the primer. That's the basis of your paint job. Good luck!
