| Answer: Hi Dee,
What material is your frame made of? Plastic? Or is it gilt, maybe? I had a black lacquered wood frame that fell and got nicked. I was able to fix it using a bit of black acrylic paint. You can still see the spot if you look closely, but from normal picture-viewing distance, it looks great. I also was considering applying a bit of black nail polish. That might have been a better choice, because it would more closely match the sheen of the lacquer. Another option might be to fill in the nick with a permanent marker. If the frame is gilt, you can purchase a gold leafing kit at a craft store. Just follow the directions on the package for applying the gold leaf. Good luck with your frame repair! |
