Answer: Hi Karen, I'm sorry to hear about your mailbox. That's so frustrating! Do you know who knocked it down? If it was a city or county snow plough, you might be able to get reimbursed for the costs of fixing it in the spring, or they might even fix it for you. In the meantime, you could try propping it up by putting lots sandbags all around the base. Bags of mulch or soil would work, too, if you've got those on hand already. Another option is to use some 2 by 4s to reinforce it by nailing them in diagonals from the post to the ground.
