Question: Our young redbud tree's trunk was split during a thunderstorm two days ago. It is still connected above ground. Is it possible to save the broken part? Thanks.

Answer: To add to the first answer: I have used long strips of cut tire innertube to do this as it "gives" a little. It will look ugly for awhile but..nothing ventured, nothing gained.
