Answer: Hi Kathleen, Stainless steel is much more rust resistant and stain-proof than regular steel, but it does need special care. The main thing to remember is that stainless steel can scratch if you use steel wool or abrasive cleaners on it. If you've got stains or streaks on your sink, you can remove them by pouring on a bit of olive oil, club soda, or white vinegar and rubbing with a soft cloth. To maintain my sink's shine, I like to dilute some hand dishwashing liquid with water and scrub it lightly with a cloth or paper towel. A baking soda and water solution works well, too.
