| Answer: Hi Clara,
I've got a few of ideas for you. First of all, try using old newspapers instead of paper towels. They tend to clean more effectively, and it's a great way to use something you'd be throwing away anyway. Also, when are you washing your windows? Has the sun been shining brightly on them? If the sun is shining on your windows and you wash them, you tend to end up with streaks. Years ago, my mother told me to always clean windows from the bottom up. This seems strange, because you don't want the glass cleaner to run down onto the part you've already cleaned, but for some reason, it works much better than working your way down from the top. If you suspect that your glass cleaner is contributing to the streak problem, try a foaming cleaner rather than a liquid one. Do you have a commercial window and glass repair store near where you live? Often, they sell really great glass cleaning products. Hope this helps! |
