| Answer: It depends on your state. Some (and I think Florida is one of them) restrict handymen to doing work that does not require a permit. This means they could not do a full kitchen remodeling without having a contractor's license (in areas that require licenses). I would check with the state agency that oversees business licenses and ask them if there are restrictions. In general, handymen can do household repair work, drywall installation, painting, minor electrical and plumbing. |
