What Pool to Build and Who to Build It
Choosing The Right Pool
Even before you start
looking a contractors or builders, you need to determine what pool is right for
you, or even if a pool is necessary at all. Will your whole family, or just a few people use it? What are their needs?
Lap Lane Pools
Lap Lane pools are very
popular right now. With increased
consciousness about health and well being, a pool has become more than just a
place to cool off in after a hard days work.
These pools are typically 4 to five feet deep and are not intended for
diving.
Lap pools are great for families or anyone concerned about pool safety. Also, these pools can be installed either in ground or above ground, so there is something available for every budget and every time frame.
Beach-Entry Pool
There is also the option of
installing what is known as a beach-entry pool. These are quite interesting looking pools. They start with a depth of 0, and then
gradually get deeper until they hit a depth of 8 or 9 feet. In terms of cost and difficulty to install,
these beach-entry pools are at the top.
Beach-entry pools can only be installed in-ground and they often require a much longer allocation of land. If you can manage it, this can be a very rewarding kind of pool. It is great for diving, water sports and even waterslides.
