How To Get Caulk To Stick

Question: We've recaulk our shower 4 times since it was installed 2 years ago. The caulk always peels away. We are using tub/shower caulk and cleaning the surface with alcohol each time. What else can we do so the caulk won't keep peeling away? This last time it lasted less than a week.
