Title of Question:

How To Handle Cracked Grout, 'Spongy Tile'

Name: Concerned Person  City: East Syracuse, NY

Question: We recently had ceramic tile installed. Some of the tiles are spongy when you step on them and the grout is cracking and chipping. What can be done to correct this?

Answer: If you just had this done, the installer apparently didn't tell you there were problems already, or this installer screwed the job, causing this damage. Get this so-called installer back out and make them correct the job.
