Sink Odor

Question: I loose my trap water in 1 of my 3 sinks, causing odor. I have checked for leaks but have no leak.This happens at ramdom 2-3 times per week.I can fill the trap with water and odor is gone.

Answer: Sounds like you might have a vent problem. The pipes that go up through the roof allow air into the system, If they get clogged a vacuum will be created and suck the water out of your trap. Birds or Wasp nest are the usual offenders.
