Toilet Bowl Drips

Question: We installed a new toilet. After you flush the bowl fills with water drains about 1/2 inch then levels. THen you hear a constant dripping in the back of the bowl. If you scoop out two cups of water the toilet stops dripping. What is causing water to keep dripping down the trap?
