How Much Should I Charge?

Question: I am starting small cleaning service and have cleaned several houses but feel like Im not charging enough. I dont know what to charge and have called around to get a rough idea as to how much other companies charge but they often dont tell you over the phone. Should I charge by the hour or by piece work? Please HELP! Thanks in advance
