Question: Can I put a metal roof over a tar & gravel roof and how do I go about doing this? HELP!

Answer: i don't see why not. if you roof is in good shape then it should be okay to just hammer the metal roof into the already existing roof.

Answer: Never! Remove the old roofing material. Reapply a heavy felt tar paper and screw your roofing panels on as per manufacturers instruction. The panels could never be level and secured to an tar&gravel base.
