Move Deadbolt Hole

Question: I replaced a door and the predrilled deadbolt is about half the width of the deadbolt too low so I need to move the whole thing down on the door jamb side. Any tips or suggestions?

Answer: Leave the door there, and drill another hole in the lock side jamb, for the deadbolt to enter. Then fill the rest of the lock jamb side with a filler.
