Question: Is there a way to repair rotting wood around windows without replacing the wood?

Answer: Yes,depending on how much is rotted. You can chisel out the rotted section of wood with a wood chisel,then apply wood filler to even everything out.After your done paint the wood,or cover it with metal capping.
