Beeping Smoke Detectors

Question: Our home is 5 years old. Since we moved in 2 years ago our smoke alarms go off whenever it seem to get cold outside. One goes and because of the electrical connection they all go I have spent a small fortune in batteries. Once we change them it's fine but maybe just for a week or two. HELP!
