Outlet Problem

Question: i have an outdoor outlet on my back porch. it stoped working about one year ago. i never bothered to look at it until now. i thought that it was just the actual outlet that was broken but then i checked the voltage from the wires and they have no juice. i checked my breaker box and all of them seem to be in working order. how do i trace this problem? thanx
