Answer: All that is usually necessary to remove wall border is to peel off the top pictured surface, then dampen the left over glued paper with a wet sponge and scrape it free with a putty knife once it has sufficiently softened.

Answer: Claudia, what was the problem with the first answer? Something about it that doesn't work for you or what?

Answer: What's wrong with the answer you ask? I tried it and it is very hard to get all of the glue off the wall. It either rolls off in little balls of glue and takes forever scraping layer by layer off. Or if you try something more abrasive than a putty knife, like a toothbrush? It peels away the wall! Ugh! I wish we'd never started this way. What a mess!
