Air/Fuel Mixture Shutter On Propane Fireplace

Question: is it that difficult to adjust the shutter on a gas fireplace or should i get aqualified technician to do it.when the temp gets to desired setting,the flames go down ,but the burner still has small blue flames coming out..i was told that the shutter needs adjusted..it is a pyromaster vent free propane fireplace.thanx for any help.......jim
