Question: I've got a Bryant 394GAD with a match lit pilot. The unit was blowing cold air last night and of course the pilot was out. I replaced the thermocouple, but the pilot will not stay lit. In doing voltage tests it appears that there is 24VAC to the gas valve when the stat is closed. Power is also at the fuse link (FL) and the blocked vent shut off system (BVSS). This is a 1991 model. Am I looking at replacing the gas valve? Thanks

Answer: Nope. Look at getting a new system. Its a bryant which is carriers botoom line. IF its 15 years old its time for a new one. Well know for the rivets on the heat exchanger coming apart and putting carbon monoxide into your house. Quit wasting money and get something with a warranty and a better efficient system.
